Global Edge are an international consultancy organisation who help UK based companies to expand overseas. They are based in Watford, UK. We had worked with them on a number of projects since their formation in 2009.
They already had a website that they liked the look and feel of, but were getting frustrated with the ongoing cost of adding more features to the site. They initially asked us to move the website from the current customised CMS to a WordPress platform to enable them to easily update it. At the same time they asked us to integrate a blog into the site.
As with any project we took the opportunity to review any other requirements they may have, and as a result included a number of other new features, such as listing current opportunities, visualising client case studies, improving the management of testimonials, integrating a twitter feed, improving SEO, adding sharing options and live polls.
The two major requirements were to keep the branding from the current site, and make this a cost effective solution. In short that meant doing the whole site for less than the cost of adding 2 of the above features to the existing site (integrated blog and twitter feed).
In the first month of the new site going live there has been a 180% increase in traffic to the site.
The client was of course delighted with the new site. CEO and founder, Jeff Benveniste, said… “Thanks to Jo Riches and her team we now have a website that we’re really pleased with. Not only does it have all the features we need now, but we have the flexibility to easily update the site, add new features when we need to, and keep the site looking fresh.”
