New Business Development for Duty Consultancy

My client is a customs and duty consultancy who help major brands to save money when importing goods into the UK.  We helped them with some new business development:

My client is a very successful customs and duty consultancy who win most of their work through word of mouth having saved organisations large sums of money on their importing process.  Clients include some of the UK’s major brands.

We were asked to use a particular misclassification of goods as the catalyst for introducing new clients to my clients services.

A register of all importers, along with the goods they import, is publicly available.  We researched the list to establish a list of organisations that would potentially benefit from this misclassification and be able to reclaim duty paid.

Having created the list we contacted the organisations, initially by telephone, but subsequently by email.  Anyone interested in my client’s services was asked to complete a simple online form with all the necessary details.  These details were then qualified by me and passed onto my client for a follow-up call.

Several organisations have already benefited from a tax refund as a result of the project.
