We are launching our annual Christmas appeal this week for two local charities who support the homeless and those in vulnerable housing.
Winter is a very dangerous time to have to sleep on the streets, but even a small donation can help make life a little easier for people who are facing this crisis.
Both Jimmy’s Night Shelter and Winter Comfort do great work supporting people experiencing homelessness in our area, providing them with shelter, warm clothes, hot food and access to other vital facilities.
Would you join with us in donating some items to these very worthwhile organisations? Even some soup sachets, a deodorant or a pair of socks would make a big difference. Donations can be left in the foyer of our offices in The Maltings, High Street, Burwell, CB250HB. We are open 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
We know how busy this time of year can be and going head to head with Cambridge traffic can be difficult. That’s why, we’re doing a local collection here at our Burwell office and we’ll safely deliver all donations by Tuesday 19th December to save you the bother. We will need your donations by no later than 18 December 2017. If anyone wants to hold a collection in their own office and bring it to us, we will be happy to drop off those items to the charities.
This is the third year we have run collections for these two local charities and we are grateful for your help.
