We tried to do a top ten search engine ranking factors but we just can’t squeeze it in, so here’s our top 11. This list will be maintained, so please bookmark this page to check on in the future.
These 11 factors we perceive to be the most important right now:

1. Https is becoming huge in seo at the moment, make sure your site is secure
2. Mobile friendly, I mean the world is becoming mobile so why would you not optimise for it
3. Content remains king, rich optimised content showing you to be the voice of authority
4. Social media – who doesn’t have Facebook?!
5. Speed, speed and more speed, lots of speed and make it quicker. Seriously we’ve seen websites hugely punished for being too slow for desktop and mobile. Don’t upload huge images!
6. Age, url structure and authority, you need to have been around a while and in the correct way
7. Business details, for too long we’ve hidden behind a contact form, not now, full address and customer care line please
8. Get your tech’s involved, that site needs to sing about your keywords
9. UX – search engines are watching everything, so if people aren’t falling in love with your site then neither are they
10. Backlinks are still important, if people love your content then so will search engines
11. Continual improvement, never stop, stopping doesn’t mean your website stands still, it means it goes backwards.
